David Stuckey is currently an Associate Professor and Director of Athletic Training 教育 at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX, where he has been employed 自1986年以来.  Originally from Hutchinson, KS, Stuckey has been a certified athletic trainer since 1984 and has been a Texas Licensed Athletic Trainer, 自1986年以来. As Director of Athletic Training 教育, Stuckey directs the AT program, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training 教育 (CAATE).

He was a full-time clinician as Head Athletic Trainer and Director of Athletic Training 教育 & Services at Hardin-Simmons University for 20 years, before moving to a full-time academic role.  Stuckey serves as a site visitor for the CAATE, reviewing other athletic training programs. He has frequently presented on emergency care and other athletic training/sports medicine topics at local, district and national meetings and was previously certified as an EMT and EMT-Intermediate.  He has also served as a content reviewer for several textbooks, the Athletic Training 教育 Journal and for the Board of Certification, 公司. He actively serves on Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association committees.

He has received several awards, including the NATA College/University Athletic Trainers Committee NCAA Division III Head Athletic Trainer of the Year, the NATA Athletic Trainer Service Award and NATA Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer. He was inducted into the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame in 2016. He is a long-time member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Texas State Athletic Trainers’ Association. Stuckey and his wife, Jennifer, have 2 children, Haley and Jayton.
